To get to the Art Gallery, take a train to St James station on the City Circle line, and take the Macquarie St exit. Cross the road and walk past the Hyde Park Barracks on your left, with St Mary’s Cathedral on your right until you come to Art Gallery Road on your left. It is 10 minutes walk from St James to the Gallery main entrance.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation – Day One

Day One of the conference will be held at the ABC’s Sydney headquarters, at 700 Harris St Ultimo.

Central Station is the closest railway station to the ABC. It takes ten minutes to walk from the Eddy Avenue exit and bus stops to George St, and then to the ABC’s main entrance on Harris Street. Alternatively you can walk underground from Elizabeth St and the Surry Hills exit, along the Devonshire St tunnel. If you head towards George St and Haymarket, this tunnel will take you all the way to the rear entrance of the ABC.

There are a number of bus stops on the intersection of Broadway and George Street, at Railway Square. Monorail and Light Rail stops are close by in Haymarket. For more details consult the City Rail Trip Planner or call 131 500.

Days Two and Three – the Darlington Centre

The Darlington Centre is just off City Road on the way to Newtown, very close to the City Road gate of the University of Sydney.  The main entrance is via a Victorian era house near the US Studies Centre. This is where the Day Two panel and Day Three plenary sessions will be held. It is also home to an excellent cafe/restaurant with space for informal indoor or outdoor meetings.
